Smoked Bourbon Manhattan

Try this warm twist on the classic Manhattan, made with smoked Blade & Bow Bourbon, and flavored with honey, vanilla, cinnamon and raisin for a perfect fall drink.

Try this warm twist on the classic Manhattan, made with smoked Blade & Bow Bourbon, and flavored with honey, vanilla, cinnamon and raisin for a perfect fall drink.  

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Blade & Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
  • 0.75 oz Sherry
  • 2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • Ceramic or metal (fireproof) plate, for smoking
  • Fire source, for smoking

Directions

  • Light the cinnamon stick until one end is smoldering.
  • Place it on the fireproof plate and cover with the rocks glass. Let stand for one minute. The glass may not fill completely with smoke, but the cinnamon smoke flavor will be pronounced when you invert the glass.
  • Add Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, sherry, and bitters to a mixing glass and stir.
  • Fill the smoked glass with ice.
  • Strain the cocktail over the fresh ice in the smoked glass.
  • Garnish with a new cinnamon stick.
